4. Why did I choose this university programme?

Hello there, today I will tell you about what I am currently studying and why I decided to study that. 

In 2019 I was coming out of my last year of school, where I was in the Math elective, so I was planning to study something related to numbers, I didn't sure what to study, but I was clinging to the idea of studying something with math. It was then that I joined to study Telematics Civil Engineering at the Universidad Federico Santa Maria. It only took me one semester online to realize that it was definitely not my thing, and I thought about leaving that career. 

Anyway, it was not difficult for me to choose what other career I wanted to study, since I had liked graphic design since I was a child, I just had not put it as my first choice because many people told me that I would not make a living from it, but when I entered the other university I realized that I did not put my happiness above everything else when I took that decision. 

So I applied to several universities to study what I was passionate about: Design. I finally got into the University of Chile, in the Faculty of Arts and Architecture. A good university, with a good reputation. I was really proud to finally make a good decision, good for me and that I knew it would make me happy. 

I am currently in my second semester of the Design career, I have only one presential class and the rest of the subjects are with online classes. Because of the lack of presence I have not made many friends, but otherwise I am very happy, I like the classes and most of the work. Although there are some subjects that cost more than others, so far I have done everything ahead and I like what I do. 

I definitely don't regret the decisions I made. That's why I tell you that I hope you put your happiness and emotional well-being above all else, because if you're not well, nothing will be.
